Rouge (film)

Rouge (Chinese: 胭脂扣; pinyin: Yānzhī kòu; Cantonese Yale: Yìnjì kau; Jyutping: Jin1zi1 kau3) is a 1988 Hong Kong film, directed by Stanley Kwan. The movie is the adaptation of the novel by Lilian Lee.

Plot

Chan Chen-Pang, better known as the "12th Young Master" (played by Leslie Cheung), was a fashionable playboy who frequented the opium dens prevalent in Hong Kong in 1934, where he met the high-class and much sought-after courtesan, Fleur (Anita Mui).

They began a passionate love affair, something frowned upon by the family of 12th Master, who held sway over the business of the area. Clearly, their love was doomed when it was found out. Seeing no way to pursue their love in life, on 8 March at 11pm, the couple resolved to commit suicide together by swallowing opium, and promise to meet again in the afterlife. After waiting for Chan in hell for 50 years, Fleur returns to the world of the living to look for him, wondering why he has not emerged. A spirit now, she searches for her lover in a Hong Kong she no longer recognizes. She decides to place a newspaper advertisement seeking Chan (using the code "3811", to indicate the eighth day of the third month at eleven pm, the time of their suicide), and enlists the assistance of Yuen (Alex Man) and his understandably suspicious girlfriend, Chor (Emily Chu).

Single (football)

In Canadian football, a single (single point, or rouge), scoring one point, is awarded when the ball is kicked into the end zone by any legal means, other than a successful field goal, and the receiving team does not return, or kick, the ball out of its end zone. It is also a single if the kick travels through the end zone or goes out of bounds in the end zone without being touched, except on a kickoff. After conceding a single, the receiving team is awarded possession of the ball at the 35-yard line of its own end of the field.

In the United States, singles are not usually recognized in most leagues and are awarded only in matches played under the auspices of the National Indoor Football League (formerly United Indoor Football) and the now-defunct American Indoor Football Association. It is applied only on kickoffs in both leagues, and is scored if the receiving team fails to advance the ball out of the end zone when kicked. The NIFL also allowed a single to be scored by kicking a kickoff through the uprights (as in a field goal); this type of single is nicknamed (and has since been codified in the NIFL rules as) an uno, from the Spanish word for the number one. At one point, the Philadelphia Public League (the public high school football sanctioning body in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) awarded three points for kicking a kickoff through the uprights.

Rouge (album)

Rouge is a 1993 album recorded by the trio Fredericks Goldman Jones. It was their second studio album and was recorded at the studios Guillaume Tell, ICP and la Blaque, located in France and Belgium. The album was released on 29 November 1993 and was not as successful as the singers' first studio album, but still spawned three singles which achieved some success in France : "Rouge" (#14), "Juste après" (#32) and "Fermer les yeux" (#33).

Album information

The collector edition of Rouge has a box in aluminium, whose front cover is entirely carved, and some elements of which are painted red. The Alexandrov Ensemble participated in this recording, on the song "Rouge".

The album debuted at number one on 5 December 1993 and stayed there for seven consecutive weeks. It was ranked for 17 weeks in the top ten and for 42 weeks in the top 50. In 1995, it earned a Diamond disc for over 1,000,000 copies sold.

The album was briefly ranked at #41 in Switzerland.

Rush (wrestler)

William Arturo Muñoz González (born September 29, 1988) is a Mexican luchador or professional wrestler, better known by the ring name Rush. After originally starting his career in 2007, working for various independent promotions under the ring name Latino, Muñoz was signed by Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) in 2009 and given the ring name he currently performs under. Rush is a former one-time CMLL World Light Heavyweight, one-time CMLL World Tag Team Champion, one-time CMLL World Trios Champion and two-time Mexican National Trios Champion. Muñoz's father Arthur Muñoz is also a professional wrestler, best known by the ring name Toro Blanco and currently working for CMLL under a mask as Comandante Pierroth, while two of his brothers also currently work for the promotion under masks and the ring names Místico and Dragon Lee.

Professional wrestling career

International Wrestling Revolution Group (2008–2009)

Muñoz made his debut for International Wrestling Revolution Group (IWRG) in October 2008, performing under the ring name Latino. He would wrestle midcard matches for IWRG for eight months, before making his final appearance on June 7, 2009.
